Riva Rentals has been renting cars out of Beirut since 2013. Thirty-one of them, from a Picanto for the city to a Patrol for the mountains, plus chauffeur-driven cars for the days you would rather not drive at all. The daily rate is the whole price: insurance, unlimited mileage inside Lebanon, 24/7 roadside help, and a car that was washed and serviced before it reached you. Landing at BEY? We meet you in the arrivals hall with the paperwork already done. Staying in town? We deliver to the door. Pick the car, pick your pickup and return dates, and you are confirmed in under a minute, with the pickup details in writing and a reminder the day before.

What do I need to rent a car?
A driving licence you have held for at least a year, your ID or passport, and to be 22 or older. International and diaspora licences are fine as they are. Nothing needs translating.
Is insurance included?
Yes. Third-party and collision cover are in the daily rate, with a $500 excess if something happens. Full cover takes the excess to zero for $12 a day, glass and tyres included.
Is there a mileage limit?
No. Mileage is unlimited anywhere inside Lebanon. The only thing we ask is that the car stays in the country.
Do you deliver the car?
Yes. Free delivery and collection in Beirut on rentals of three days or more, and free on every weekly rental. Otherwise it is $15 in Beirut and $25 to the airport.
How does the deposit work?
The deposit you see on the car comes off your total, it is not an extra charge. Pay it online when you book or in cash at pickup, and the rest is due when you collect the keys.
Who pays for fuel?
You get the car with a full tank and bring it back full. There is a petrol station 200 metres from every one of our three pickup points.
Can I extend my rental?
Usually yes. Message us before your return date and we extend it at the same rate if nobody else has the car booked. It takes one message.
Can someone else drive?
Yes. A second driver is $5 a day, and free on any rental of a week or more. Tell us their name when you book and we put them on the agreement.
What if I want a driver instead?
Book the S-Class or the Vito with a driver: eight hours of driving a day, anywhere in the country. A one-way airport transfer starts at $45.
What happens if the car breaks down?
Call the number on your confirmation. We come to you, and if the car cannot be fixed on the spot you get a replacement the same day.
